Challenge: Miejska Biblioteka Publiczna, a library seeking to break the mold, approached me to create a brand identity that reflected their unique philosophy. Their vision: a warm, inviting space that celebrates the connection between nature, knowledge, and community. They desired a logo, color palette, stationery, a user-friendly website, and engaging social media posts – all imbued with a touch of the sea and the essence of Hygge.
Solution: Drawing inspiration from the library's location and their desire for a cozy atmosphere, I crafted a brand identity that evokes a sense of calm and intellectual curiosity. The logo incorporates a subtle wave motif, hinting at the nearby sea and symbolizing the vast ocean of knowledge within the library walls. The color palette is a calming blend of blues, greens, and sandy tones, reminiscent of the seashore and Hygge's emphasis on comfort.
A Cohesive Experience: The branding extends to stationery items like bookmarks and library cards, all featuring the wave motif and colors. The website, designed for simplicity and ease of use, reflects the same welcoming aesthetic. Social media posts utilize captivating visuals and informative content to engage the community and promote library events and resources.
Hygge at its Heart: The brand identity incorporates elements of Hygge, the Danish philosophy of coziness and well-being. This is reflected in the color choices, the use of natural textures in the website design, and the overall inviting atmosphere the brand conveys.
